Lukas Ulmi
Ulmi's work reveals the hidden beauty of shapes, stones, seemingly static forms, incomplete or meaningless objects that are often found washed up on Valencian beaches. These recycled objects become authentic sculptures where weightlessness, movement and poetry come together in delicate iron compositions that reinterpret ideas of harmony, balance and space. The pieces have strong connections to the earth, creating circles and lines that represent a symbolic return to primal contact, such as the constantly moving planets or the harmonious flow of energy in nature.
Ulmi's sculptures and monumental fountains have been exhibited in numerous squares in Spain and Switzerland since 1998. His works have been exhibited all over the world and have been acquired by important public institutions such as the Palau de la Música in Valencia.
