Quintessenz

Hanover and Berlin-based artists Thomas Granseuer and Tomislav Topic make up Quintessenz. They started as students at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim and have been working together as the artistic duo Quintessenz for more than 10 years, developing a unique and unmistakable style. Their roots lie in graffiti culture, chromaticism and graphics.

Quintessenz combines painting, installation and conceptual art. They have both worked as teachers at university as well as in the field as agency workers. Together they find a new creative approach to conceptual art and exhibition design.

Quintessenz is known for his colourful site-specific installation art which brings their work back to the quintessence of art itself - colour and form.
